Yummy Apple, Peach, and Plum Sauce

Toddler Town Yummy Apples recipe
Step 1: Peel, clean and cut fruit in small cubes.

My kids and I love applesauce. After reading the ingredients, especially how much sugar there is in the store bought brands and looking at some really quick and easy recipes, I made my own in a slow cooker!

It came out so good and it took me only 15 min of preparation and 5 min to put in into the jars after 4.5 hours in the slow cooker.

I used around 20 apples. I had few peaches and 15 plums at home and decided to mix everything together. I love this recipe because you don’t need exact measurements, you can make it as little or as big as you want.

Step 2: Add lemon zest and juice of 2 oranges and 1 lemon.

Use 3-4 apples, if you want some now, or do what I did use 2 slow cookers, can them and you have fresh apple/plum sauce all the time.

First, Peel, clean and cut fruit in small cubes.
Next put a little lemon zest and the juice of 2 oranges and 1 lemon over the fruit.
Third sprinkle spices such as Cinnamon and Apple pie spice to taste.
(Next time I will try adding ginger too!)
I also sprinkled a little bit of brown sugar on the top (approximately ¼ cup, but if you like it sweeter you should put ½-1 cup) and 5 Tbs of honey.
I put the slow cooker on low and let it cook around 4.5 hours.

Step 3: Save…if there’s any left!

When it was done, I put the sauce in jars and stored them in the fridge.

I use the sauce with oatmeal in the morning, and the kids love having it with their dinner.

I made a banana bread with the sauce– it was so moist and delicious, and healthier too!
By the time I took this picture two of the jars were gone already!

Bon Appetit!!!
